Supporting Youth in Real Time in CES

Overview

We know that wait times are dangerous - for every day that a young person spends on the streets waiting for housing, their likelihood of failing out of housing increases by 2%. Given the shortage of housing resources through coordinated entry systems (CES), we must get creative to better serve all young people. During this call, the CELC community focused on navigation services and diversion as two proven and concrete strategies to better serve young people as they are requesting support. We examined how communities approach these strategies uniquely, ensuring real time support for more young people without safe and stable housing.
