Creating Inclusive, Affirming Safe Practices in CES

Overview

How do we create more inclusive, affirming and safe practices within our coordinated entry/response system?

In collaboration with True Colors United, the CELC community dug into what it means to center the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth through coordinated entry strategies. The communities discussed challenges related to awareness and training, finding a balance between collecting meaningful data and maintaining safety, the importance of language and appropriate access. True Colors provided clear and concrete ideas around  inclusive and affirming practices and extended an invitation to participate in the True Colors Challenge.
