William T. Grant Foundation
The William T. Grant Foundation is inviting applications for its Youth Service Improvement Grants program, which supports activities to improve the quality of direct services for young people ages 5 to 25 in the five boroughs of New York City. The program is designed to strengthen existing services by helping youth-serving nonprofit organizations address challenges or remedy problems at the point of service, where staff and youth interact. The program is open to all nonprofit organizations that provide direct services to youth ages 5-25 in the five boroughs with a budget between $250,000 and $5 million. Awards will be $25,000 each and support projects lasting one year. In addition, the foundation will secure technical assistance to help grantees successfully implement their improvement plans. The applicant’s staff must have direct contact with youth at the point of service.

George Gund Foundation
Historic barriers to opportunity for both individuals and families must be removed to fully realize human potential. The George Gund Foundation strives toward a more just community and society that eliminates the conditions that create human need or limit fundamental rights. Consequently, they invest in growth and development opportunities for historically marginalized people at critical life junctures, such as prenatal and early childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and when entering the workforce or forming a family. The Foundation supports public policies that reduce poverty, that strengthen family economic stability and that secure equitable access to basic human needs such as food, shelter, and health care—particularly primary, behavioral, and reproductive. They pursue equitable treatment for both juveniles and adults in the civil and criminal justice systems plagued by racial disparities.
