Aligned by Design: WIOA and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) began on July 1st and many service providers are working with their local partners to frame implementation. WIOA provides new opportunities for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment & Training (SNAP E&T) programs to partner with other workforce development programs to meet the needs of SNAP participants. This Fact Sheet from the National Skills Coalition outlines some key areas for collaboration under WIOA. It provides information that could be helpful for youth services providers to collaborate with their local partners to link youth and their families to needed services.
